Shalyce Kizerian's Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
As hard as this is on my pride, I had to create another fundraiser. It’s very difficult for me to do these things, I just really don’t have a choice. Nothing about this is easy and I believe that we can do better in the United States regarding healthcare. There’s a major lack of resources for people fighting cancer.
My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer at 44 on April 27th of 2017. Three months after her diagnosis, we lost our house and pretty much everything we own. We packed what possessions we had left in a small storage shed and a 26 foot travel trailer. Getting health insurance was and still is a struggle. They originally gave her 3 months to live and she's made it over two years. She has been doing chemotherapy at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and is doing costly alternative treatments and therapies.

After giving up my business and taking on a full time role as my wife’s caregiver, we have ended up living in extreme poverty. I only eat about once a day to cut cost for her care. We were able to get into a temporary residence, I’m not sure how long it will last.

We had an opportunity to go to Mexico for some clinical trials but fell short on our fundraising efforts.

Past fundraisers have sustained have allowed us to help pay for treatment, vitamins, supplements and
Organic food.

We have ran into new obstacles with insurance and do not have any resources to get any help. Shalyce has developed chronic acities from the cancer spreading to her liver. After going in to get paracentesis procedures done every couple of days, they finally installed a permanent drain tube. She has to drain 1000 ml per day and the kits are running about $2,100 per month. We are living on $800 a month from social security. I have been unable to find any good resources for caregivers. I'm also experiencing some major health struggles.

Shalyce has fought hard because she wants to be around for me, our 4 children and our grand children.
