Randy Buchler is a treasured small farmer and educator based in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. He and his family run Shady Grove Farm, a highly efficient, diversified livestock and permaculture agricultural operation that provides high quality certified naturally grown products to the community as well as empowering educational opportunities to people of all ages.

The Buchler family needs our support at this point to help Randy get the Lyme disease treatment he needs and to keep the farm going at the same time. His health issues attached to the Lyme symptoms have become increasingly severe in the last few months and the most effective treatment available to him is not covered by health insurance. Without strong community support at this time, the future of Shady Grove Farm could very well be in jeopardy.

Hundreds of people across the country have all been touched deeply by the Buchler's and their farm. They have poured their time and energy into their land, the animals, the community and work for the common good for many years. They have overcome many major obstacles in the past, as illustrated in the film. Now is the time to pour support back to them and help Randy get the help he so desperately needs and deeply deserves. Thank you for your time!

I had 2 more treatments this past Wednesday. This week, we incorporated UV light into the treatment. This helps to kill the bacteria in the blood before it goes back into my body. So far, I haven't had any negative reactions to the treatments. They will, however, become more intense as we go.

I also learned that once we get into the IV Vit C treatments, that it will add a significant cost to the treatments. It will add a minimum of $67 for the first treatment, but will increase as the level of Vit C increases. (Each additional 10g costs around $20 more, if my memory serves me right). If we end up going up toward 100,000 mg, which has been discussed, it will add up quickly.

So, every little bit helps! Thanks again to all of you for making the start of these treatments a reality!

Next week, I travel to Eau Claire, WI to the Optima Health & Vitality Center again. I am scheduled to do this for the next 7 weeks; 2 treatments per week. After catching up on past due medical bills, practitioner bills, buying monthly herbs and paying farm help, I still have enough left to cover about 4 weeks of the next 7. This doesn't include continuing to pay my practitioner or purchasing more herbs. Posting this update is completely out of my comfort zone, but completing this treatment is crucial for my health, and for Shady Grove Farm. So, if we could collectively give one more push on this gofundme, it would be Grately appreciated! I just feel confident that this treatment is going to get me over the hump and help me get to a place where I feel healthy again. That would be a significant change for me after the last 5+ years! I look very forward to the end of September! Once again, thank you to all of you who have contributed in one way or another! I feel your love and send so much love back to you all! Thank you!

Hello friends. I have returned from my trip to Eau Claire, WI, where I received my first ozone treatment! The treatment went well and I had no reactions! Dr. Sue was awesome and we feel really good about the outlook with the treatments that I will receive at the Optima Health & Vitality Center. She validated the treatment steps we have taken so far and was encouraging us to continue the care we have been doing at home, including the very restricted diet I have been on for quite some time.

She feels confident that she will be able to help me, but it may take a bit longer, as there are most likely multiple co-infections accompanying the Lyme, based on past and current symptoms.

At this time, I am scheduled for 2 treatments/week for the next several weeks (at least through Sept). The cost will be about $500 per week, which includes travel expenses. We will evaluate my progress weekly in order to determine how long the treatment needs to go. If all goes well, I will be able to reduce the treatments to 1-2 visits every 6-12 months, as long as we continue management at home.

I must say, it was different donating my own blood to be oxygenated and then put back into me! But, I am willing to try almost anything at this point, and she has seen very good results using the treatments that I will receive. In addition to the ozone treatments, I will be receiving high dose IV vitamin C, glutathione and UV treatments. I feel hopeful that this may be the turning point for me! Time will tell.

It was also strongly recommended that I get the few "old" fillings I have, removed, as well as the root canal. It was suggested that this could greatly help. However, it could be costly. I will be checking into this in the mean time.

Thanks again to everyone that has donated up to this point! This wouldn't be possible without your generosity! I was able to get the treatment started because of you!

Tomorrow, I will be traveling to Wisconsin with my practitioner. Wednesday morning I will be starting a more aggressive treatment for Lyme. Thank you to all of you that have donated so far! Without your help, this wouldn't be happening!

My hope is that this treatment can continue until the Lyme is under control, and I have regained the ability to live my life.

I will update after the first treatment.
