Support Randy & Shady Grove Farm
The Buchler family needs our support at this point to help Randy get the Lyme disease treatment he needs and to keep the farm going at the same time. His health issues attached to the Lyme symptoms have become increasingly severe in the last few months and the most effective treatment available to him is not covered by health insurance. Without strong community support at this time, the future of Shady Grove Farm could very well be in jeopardy.
Hundreds of people across the country have all been touched deeply by the Buchler's and their farm. They have poured their time and energy into their land, the animals, the community and work for the common good for many years. They have overcome many major obstacles in the past, as illustrated in the film. Now is the time to pour support back to them and help Randy get the help he so desperately needs and deeply deserves. Thank you for your time!
I also learned that once we get into the IV Vit C treatments, that it will add a significant cost to the treatments. It will add a minimum of $67 for the first treatment, but will increase as the level of Vit C increases. (Each additional 10g costs around $20 more, if my memory serves me right). If we end up going up toward 100,000 mg, which has been discussed, it will add up quickly.
So, every little bit helps! Thanks again to all of you for making the start of these treatments a reality!
She feels confident that she will be able to help me, but it may take a bit longer, as there are most likely multiple co-infections accompanying the Lyme, based on past and current symptoms.
At this time, I am scheduled for 2 treatments/week for the next several weeks (at least through Sept). The cost will be about $500 per week, which includes travel expenses. We will evaluate my progress weekly in order to determine how long the treatment needs to go. If all goes well, I will be able to reduce the treatments to 1-2 visits every 6-12 months, as long as we continue management at home.
I must say, it was different donating my own blood to be oxygenated and then put back into me! But, I am willing to try almost anything at this point, and she has seen very good results using the treatments that I will receive. In addition to the ozone treatments, I will be receiving high dose IV vitamin C, glutathione and UV treatments. I feel hopeful that this may be the turning point for me! Time will tell.
It was also strongly recommended that I get the few "old" fillings I have, removed, as well as the root canal. It was suggested that this could greatly help. However, it could be costly. I will be checking into this in the mean time.
Thanks again to everyone that has donated up to this point! This wouldn't be possible without your generosity! I was able to get the treatment started because of you!
My hope is that this treatment can continue until the Lyme is under control, and I have regained the ability to live my life.
I will update after the first treatment.
