Justice for Ryan Passey
Our Story......
Sadly, Ryan was cruelly taken away from us in the early hours of Sunday 6th August 2017 due to being fatally stabbed through his heart in Chicago’s nightclub in Stourbridge.
Ryan was just aged 24 with his whole life ahead of him. Those who knew Ryan will know he was one of the kindest, loving, genuine and happiest of people you could ever wish to meet. He loved and lived life for his family and his friends. No words can express the kind of person Ryan was to many of us, and the impact he had on those around him.
On the 6th February 2018 at Birmingham Crown Court this country’s justice system let the man who admitted to stabbing and killing our Ryan walk free from court, without any punishment what so ever for his actions!
Even after admitting in front of a jury to stabbing and killing our Ryan and lying about being intoxicated at the time.
The prosecution evidence presented to jury was overwhelming in support of a Murder conviction, so we cannot understand or comprehend how they got the decision “so devastatingly wrong” in returning a “Not Guilty” verdict and letting him walk free.
Our Campaign.....
Please help us to overturn a gross miscarriage of justice.
We are demanding a change in our Criminal Justice System to allow the right for victim’s families in serious crime cases to challenge and appeal serious “perverse” jury verdicts after acquittal. That is one that went against the law or against the evidence or which “no reasonable jury could have come to”
There is now a long and difficult battle ahead of us to get the rightful Justice Ryan deserves, but we will “NEVER” give up fighting until justice is finally served and we will be campaigning and appealing to the highest courts possible in order to get the rightful justice Ryan deserves.
We owe it not only to Ryan, but to our own children, families and the community that we all live in, that we fight to get this huge injustice corrected.
We will never accept the Jury’s decision and will fight on to campaign for a retrial and to get the deserved justice for Ryan. We must do, to keep our communities safe for all of our children and families!
We have launched the “Ryan Thomas Passey Foundation Charity” – (R.T.P.F.C) to raise vital funds for our campaign to enable the family to eventually take legal action in thier fight to get Ryan the rightful justice he deserves.
