We Stand Behind Sgt Jonathan Frost

Donation protected
On a cold night in February 2015, Sgt Jonathan Frost, a deputy with the Eaton County Sheriffs Office in Michigan, conducted a traffic stop on an individual. The individual was stopped for flashing his bright lights at Sgt Frost, which is a violation of Michigan traffic law. During the stop, Sgt Frost asked for the individuals drivers license, to which he did not comply. The individual became argumentative and was eventually removed from his vehicle for failing to produce identification, which is also against the law. While attempting to get the individual to comply with Sgt Frost's verbal commands, the individual became combative and Sgt Frost was forced to deploy his taser. The taser had no effect on the individual due to the fact that only one of the two prongs made contact. The indivudal then was able to take control of Sgt Frost and began striking him in the face while sitting on Sgt Frost's chest. Sgt Frost stated he began to lose consciousness and blood was running into his eyes. He then made a lawful decision to defend himself by means of deadly force. Sgt Frost fired his duty weapon, which ultimately killed the individual. Since the incident, Sgt Frost, his family, and the Eaton County Sheriff's Office have received continued threats from not only local citizens, but from around the country. In June 2015, the county prosecutor deemed the shooting was just and lawful, and Sgt Frost was cleared of all charges. This only escalated the threats towards him and his family. The victims family has stated they intend on filing a civil suit against Sgt Frost. This fund is being set up to help Sgt Frost and his family during this triyng time, to help with his recovery and to support the family's needs. We are no relation to Sgt Frost, only supporters of him and his family. Donations can be made anonymously, and the funds will go straight to Sgt Frost via check which will be hand delivered to him at the sheriff's office. Thank you for your time and consideration, and please take the time to thank a law enforcement officer, fireman, EMT or military member for their sacrifice and service to our communities and our nation.
