Nepal Earthquake
On April 25th, a massive 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal - the most devastating natural disaster to hit the area in over 80 years. Countless houses were destroyed, leaving hundreds of thousands of people without any home or shelter, and 7,500 people were killed in Nepal alone, with the death toll soon expected to exceed 10,000 in the aftermath.

Nepal has a long and rich culture entrenched in mountaineering and nature. For many tourists, hikers, adventurers visiting Nepal, experiencing its legendary Himalayan Mountains is a lifelong dream.  When news of the disaster reached us, we felt a need to help the people who are in desperate need of supplies and support. 

What You Can Do To Help
Serac Hammocks, partnering with Binghamton Alpha Kappa Psi and Sahayeta are working together to raise funds to buy and distribute supplies to Nepalese victims in remote mountain villages.

We negotiated with our suppliers who recognized the immense nature of the tragedy, and they agreed to provide overstocked and cosmetically defective items at a discount to help provide relief to the thousands of families left homeless and in urgent need of support after this disaster.

Where Your Donation Money Goes
95% of your donaton will go to the purchase and delivery of supplies directly to Nepal. 5% goes to gofundme for hosting our campaign

Areas In Need
Kathmandu has been slowly recovering from the tragedy, but access to the remote mountain villages remains difficult. Thousands of survivors are now without homes as the earthquake has destroyed the infrastructure within the city. With monsoon season approaching, these people need immediate help and whatever supplies that can reach them.

Donated supplies will be delivered to Sindhupalchowk and Dhading District.
