Javaughn Black age 7 was here visiting Canada with his mother Sherrie and sister Jhonelle age 15. This was Javaughn's 1st time leaving Jamaica to travel outside of the island.  On Saturday, July 21, Javaughn and his sister Jhonelle attended a trip to Sandbanks Provincial Park with their newly found family and friends.

What was supposed to be a fun filled experience turned out to be a day of tragedy, when Javaughn lost his life in an accidental drowning.  Every effort was made to revive Javaughn by emergency responders including an off duty ER doctor that happened to be at the beach with her own family.  45mins after arriving at Prince Edward Memorial Hospital doctors gave the horrible news that Javaughn was gone.

Not only is Sherrie traumatized by the loss of her only son, but is now  faced with the unexpected cost of having to transport Javaughn's body back to Jamaica. Let's help Sherrie by raising as much funds as possible so she can bring her baby home and lay him to rest.

This Campaign has been created by Denise Brown-Thomas and Justine Ramdowar who both reside within the GTA. Denise is the Wife of Sherrie's Cousin living here in Toronto and Justine organized the event Javaughn was attending that tragic Saturday. Our goal is to assist Sherrie by helping to raise enough funds for her to cover the cost of having Javaughn's body prepared at a Funeral Home here in Ontario, then transported from there to an Airline and flown to Jamaica. Upon arrival to Jamaica, Sherrie will then have her son's body conveyed to the Funeral Home chosen by the family to conduct Javaughn's final resting.

Sherrie is the sole beneficiary of the "Let's Send Javaughn Home" Campaign, therefore all funds raised will be directly provided to Sherrie to offset these unexpected expenses during this difficult time. Any additional funds raised will go towards funeral arrangements for Javaughn in his hometown in Jamaica.

Thank you all for your support and we will continue to provide updates. The constant flow of comments and well wishes has proven Javaughn's passing has touched so many.

I want to say thank you to everyone that took the time to donate to the "Send Javaughn Home" fund. For sharing our post to multiple people across the world and for all your prayers and words of comfort. Never in our wildest dreams did we think that it would have received so much attention let alone reach our goal of $10,000 within less than 24hrs. Nothing we do can bring Javaughn back but your donations have been able to assist his mother to bring him home to be laid to rest.
God Bless you all and again our sincere THANKS.
