In June (22-26) I hope to attend the ILPS 6th assembly in Hong Hong on behalf of my collective, Revolutionaire Eenheid. This conference brings together delegations from the different organizations that form ILPS, International League of Peoples’ Struggle. It is an umbrella organization for organizations and formations to “promote, support and develop the anti-imperialist and democratic struggles of the peoples of the world, including the workers, peasants, women, youth, professionals and other sectors of society against the ideological, political, military, economic, social and cultural domination and attacks of imperialism and reaction’’.
Attending this conference will be of huge value to me and my collective. It’s an opportunity to meet and engage with other activists and organizers from around the world working on different areas of justice including indigenous peoples land struggle, migrants’ rights’, national liberation, climate and land protectors. To learn from their work and build networks across borders and stronger solidarity across struggles. Also, I want to bring my knowledge of the situation here in the Netherlands, the rising tides of fascism in Europe and the message of Palestine solidarity as a central part of anti-imperialist struggle.
For almost two years, my life has been centered around activism and political work. I’ve focused mainly on Palestine and feminist issues, this has included workshop development, building networks in and outside the Netherlands (across different struggles) and coordinating regular benefits and events. I’ve developed my public speaking, writing and organizational and leadership skills. I’ve honed educational tools and become a better facilitator of learning. This progression has been within my collective, Revolutionaire Eenheid, an anti-capitalist; anti-imperialist; proletarian feminist youth organization. I’m very serious about my collective and my activism and this opportunity will only enrich my work.
The money I’m raising is to cover the travel costs (Amsterdam – Hong Kong) and partially cover the costs of accommodation.
