Donation Wednesday: girlstart

Today, TXESP was able to follow thru on our commitment to the GoFundMe Summer Campaign: Shake it Up.  We donated 2 of 10 shake boards to girlstart, also a 501c3 Texas non-profit STEM outreach program for young girls.

Girlstart's mission is to increase girls' interest, engagement and STEM through innovative, nationally-recognized informal STEM education programs. Through its comprehensive programming, girlstart provides a year-round, intensive suite of STEM education programs for K through 12 Girls. Girlsstart's core programs foster STEM skills development, and understanding of the importance of STEM as a way to solve the world's major problems, as well as an interest in STEM electives, majors, and careers. You can learn more about girlstart and its programs across Houston area schools at girlstart.org/houston
