Help get Ruthie to the Dodgers World Series game!! She is 108 and has been a lifelong a Dodgers fan. She is so excited at the possibility of going. Let’s make her dream come true! This will get her and a care giver loge seats on Saturday as well as cover parking, gas, and a Dodger dog. Maybe we can even get her a commemorative sweatshirt. I have increased it because her story is airing on ABC 7 and if people want to help, we can get reserved parking and maybe a car service. The rest she can either spend on every World Series item they have at the ball park, pocket it or donate it to MPTF.com, where she lives. Up to her.
She will be in the Loge (2nd level) between home plate and 1st. Look for her on the JumboTron and THANK YOU!!
Despite the fact that her beloved Dodgers lost last night Ruthie had an amazing time at the game thanks to you! She wanted (and got thanks to you) Crackerjacks and a World Series ball as well as a Jersey that fits over her favorite fleece and a night shirt. The MLB and the Dodger’s ended up getting wind of the story and they gave her a sweatshirt, t-shirt, mini pennant, a towel, a bobble head, a hat and a certificate that she was “Most Valuable Fan”.
She stayed until the bitter end... at least it wasn’t 18 innings this time. However I think she would not have cared about it being longer if they had won.
She will be back in front of her TV tonight watching her boys in blue with fresh memories of her first World Series game.
