Tomorrow is my birthday, and I always spend the day before reflecting on my year and what transpired.
This year was the toilet of my life.
I lost my best friend- my grandmother, a hard divorce, starting over as a single mom, adjusting my kids, starting my son in a new special needs school, rekindling my romance with an old love... only for us to find out he had heart failure.
Flush.
This year I’ve become myself, but at the same time have lost myself in all the heartache. I feel messy inside.
I am committed to living my best life this year.
A yoga retreat to scrub scrub my brain clean is what I am wishing for for my birthday.
I try to never ask or tell much - but I read somewhere recently ‘Your very best thinking got you here’ and it stuck with me. People keep telling me to ask for and receive help when I need it.
Well, I need a serious mental re-set and I’m open to asking for it!
