Send Erinn to National Climbing

Hi, my name is Erinn Locke. I am a competitive rock climber and member of the Newfoundland Junior Climbing Team. I am competing at events across Canada during 2016 - 2017 competition season.  I have already competed at the Quebec and Canadian Bouldering championships and now working on the lead climbing competitions.

I started climbing at the Wallnuts Climbing Center in St John’s, Newfoundland when I was ten years old and have been competing ever since. I recently came 1st place in Woman’s Open Division at the Newfoundland Bloc on the Rock competition in 2016 and have competed in Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia in previous years.

For all Newfoundland and Labrador athletes trying to compete on the national and international stage it is very expensive to travel to competitions across Canada. That’s why I am seeking your assistance to raise the funds to send me and my coach to the national events  this year.

These competitions are very important to me because I’ve trained hard over the years and I want to represent Newfoundland and Labrador on the national stage while pursuing my sport nationally and internationally.

Climbing is important to me because it gives me freedom and adventure, while still being challenging. Climbing for me is a great way to relieve stress and to have fun doing so in such a physical, mental and technically demanding sport.
