We are Aptos High School's winning Mock Trial team - and we've won the Santa Cruz County Mock Trial competition for the first time ever. We are 18 high school students and we must travel to Riverside, CA on March 24-25 to compete in the State wide competition.
The Constitutional Rights Foundation and Santa Cruz County Office of Education puts on these competitions. All of us are volunteers, and we get no extra credit or school credit for our participation. What we DO get is camraderie, public speaking skills, support and confidence. Plus we WON!
We need to raise money to help us pay for our gas and travel costs to Riverside, help pay for our motel and food costs (we eat like teenagers), and our registration fees for all 18 of us. Anything we raise but don't need will go towards next year's Mock trial team at Aptos High.
We have to raise this amount in the next 3 weeks!
We have never before won the County competition, and Aptos High has never before gone to State. Help us go!!
