Send 8th Graders to Music Camp!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Higgins, and I am the Band Teacher at St Paul City School!
St Paul City School is a PreK-8 public charter school located in the heart of the Frogtown neighborhood in St Paul. We are an extremely diverse school, focusing on reaching out to families with low income. SPCS initiated its first Band Program only five years ago, and since then it has sky rocketed! 80% of the middle school students participate in band! The only way we could get this program off the ground is from charitable donations from organizations and individuals- EVERYTHING in the SPCS band program has been donated.
This year we are heading back to Bemidji MusiCamp, and there are four talented musicians from the 8th grade class that are attending.
This is where we need your help!!
SPCS students come from very low-income families and cannot afford the tuition to attend such an amazing educational experience that will stay with them for a lifetime. We humbly ask for your assistance to support these four students to attend this summer band camp, where they will learn to push themselves as musiciains, students, and friends.
The tuition and registration fee comes to $325 per student; 100% of your donations will go towards the cost of the camp. We need to raise the money by mid-June to be able to attend the camp in July.
The students at St Paul City School do not receive many opportunities to further their education outside of the classroom walls because of their lack of funds at home, so to be able to send a group of middle school students to a summer music camp that will teach them so much more than just notes on a page would be a change of a lifetime for them. With your help we can reach our goal!
