Help Catholic Seminarian with Tuition

$21,540 of $40,000 goal

Update: Ordinations 2019

Dear Benefactors,

Deo Gratias! I was ordained deacon on July 3rd.

I would like to thank you for your generosity and your prayers in helping me reach my second goal of $20,700. You see that GoFundMe has taken quite a bit from the actual donation and that my monthly tuition of $1,050 continues to accumulate since I started this campaign in May 2019 until July 2020 so I will need an additional $16,700.

I pray that you will continue to help me spread the word to reach my FINAL goal of $40,000 to pay off ALL of my tuition and to help me purchase liturgical items necessary for my priestly ordination next year. I remain yours,

In union of prayers,

Abbé Justin 王

Please spread the word to help defray my seminary's costs for my priestly formation:

Dear Friends and Benefactors,

My name is Abbé Justin Ong (王) from Malaysia. I am currently in the 6th year of my seminary formation with the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest at our International Seminary in Gricigliano, Italy.

Here, in the beautiful hills of Tuscany just fifteen minutes away from Florence, I am blessed to live in a community of over eighty fellow seminarians from around the world.

During our seven-year-long formation, we are taught in the spirit of St. Francis de Sales (one of the Institute's patron saints) and prepared to be, God-willing, good and faithful priests who are one day able to preach the truth of Christ and His Church and to celebrate the Sacraments daily, especially the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The liturgical life of the Church is the center of our daily lives throughout our formation here at the seminary.

I am writing to you today to ask you once again to support the Institute's International Seminary with your generous financial assistance. Our Institute does not reject any applicant for financial reasons.

Even if the families of many of our confreres are not able to pay the full monthly tuition of $1,050, all young men who are sincere in their faith and who want to serve Christ with all their strength, will be accepted. Please help the Institute allow this work of divine charity to continue.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support!

Reminder: Reminder May 24th was dedicated by His Holiness Benedict XVI in 2007 as prayer day for China under the patronage of Our Lady Help of Christians.

A day of prayer for the Church in China

19. Dear Pastors and all the faithful, the date 24 May could in the future become an occasion for the Catholics of the whole world to be united in prayer with the Church which is in China. This day is dedicated to the liturgical memorial of Our Lady, Help of Christians, who is venerated with great devotion at the Marian Shrine of Sheshan in Shanghai.

I would like that date to be kept by you as a day of prayer for the Church in China. I encourage you to celebrate it by renewing your communion of faith in Jesus our Lord and of faithfulness to the Pope, and by praying that the unity among you may become ever deeper and more visible. I remind you, moreover, of the commandment that Jesus gave us, to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us, as well as the invitation of the Apostle Saint Paul: "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, godly and respectful in every way. This is good, and it is acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim 2:1-4).

On that same day, the Catholics of the whole world – in particular those who are of Chinese origin – will demonstrate their fraternal solidarity and solicitude for you, asking the Lord of history for the gift of perseverance in witness, in the certainty that your sufferings past and present for the Holy Name of Jesus and your intrepid loyalty to his Vicar on earth will be rewarded, even if at times everything can seem a failure.

Be reminded and remember, O most sweet Virgin, that you are my Mother and I am your son; that you are powerful and that I am a helpless man, poor and vile. I beg you, very sweet Mother, that you may rule and defend me in all my ways and actions. Say not, gracious Virgin, that you are not able; for your beloved Son has given you all power, both in heaven and on earth. Say not that you should not; for you are the common Mother of all poor people and especially mine. If you could not, I would excuse you saying: it is true that she is my mother and that she cherishes me like her son, but the poor lady is lacking in means and capacity. If you were not my Mother, I would be patient and say: she is rich enough to assist me; but unfortunately, not being my mother, she does not love me. So then, very gentle Virgin, since you are my Mother and you are powerful, how can I excuse you if you do not relieve me and give me your help and assistance? You see, Mother, that you are compelled to fulfill all my requests. For the honor and glory of your Son, accept me as your child, without regard to my miseries and sins. Deliver my soul and my body from all evil and give me all your virtues, especially humility. Finally, give me a gift of all the gifts, goods and graces that please the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen. - Prayer to Our Lady by Saint Francis de Sales

In union of prayers,
Abbé 王

Dear Friends and Benefactors,

Blessed Good Shepherd Sunday to you! My pilgrimage to Lourdes was short but fruitful - we drove all the from Florence. It was a great joy to see His Eminence, Cardinal Burke again and to see the faithful.

I would like to announce that I have been called to the diaconate by my superiors so I should be ordained July 3rd. Please pray for me.
