Sean Henderson was doing what he loved, racing motorcycles, on his birthday weekend when he was suddenly taken from us on September 2, 2018. The racing community is shaken and heartbroken by the loss of this vibrant and passionate man.
Sean was well known in many facets of the motorcycle community. He was a roadracer with the EMRA along with his teammates the Savage Sloths, a control rider with HardNoX Track Days, and a member of a riding group in Calgary. If you ask anyone in these groups about Sean they would say the guy was always smiling. Sean lived his life with intensity and fun and he would sweep you up with him. It just wasn’t possible to not be upbeat around him.
A message from the EMRA: Sean was a great racer, teammate and ambassador for the sport. He was the embodiment of the phrase “full of life”.SS26 will be forever honoured, missed and loved by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone.
A message from the Savage Sloths: Sean was, and, will forever be, more than just a fellow racer and friend - he was a brother. He approached all with a smile and nature that were so vibrant, captivating, compelling and contagious. He loved. Radiating passion and care, he put his heart into every word, every thought, and every deed. He was a man who inspired, who encouraged, and who was a true proponent of life. He’s left a legacy to what one should be, and a void that will forever linger. He’s gone from this world, but never will he be lost from our hearts.
A message from HardNoX: Sean became part of our family several years ago. To say we fell in love with him immediately would be a complete understatement. His infectious smile, pure enthusiasm to the sport of motorcycling, his selfless giving of his time/energy/mentorship to others and honestly, his approach to life itself was an instant draw for the whole HX team.
He will leave an irrevocable mark on our entire family and we will keep his spirit alive by giving onto others in the same way that he did/would have.
We love you Sean, we will miss you but you will never leave our hearts.
A message from a group of Sean's close friends: We are deeply saddened by Sean's passing and the loss of a bright presence in our lives. In any group there are always those who's magnetic personalities' hold and bring people together. Sean was one of these people. Sean's effect on each and every one of us will continue to be felt, remembered, and celebrated for the rest of our lives. Our deepest condolences go out to Sean's family.
