Sea Dreamer Project Engine Fund

$330 of $13,500 goal

Raised by 4 people in 6 months

Our goal is to build our dream boat and explore the world. Through that we hope to inspire people to follow their own dreams and believe ordinary people can do extraordinary things.

Our family has set out to prove that although we have no boat building or nautical experience, that anyone can build their dream boat if they are willing to try.

Through our web site and YouTube video series we have set out to document every step of this extraordinary project.  Every success and every failure leave us one step closer to our dream of exploring the world’s oceans.

The final frontier remains the financing.  We are working hard, paycheck to paycheck, to fund our build and continue our progress of inspiring others to put down the remote, get off the couch and go create something.

However, the cost of our dream engine threatens to stifle our progress.  While our engine install still remains in the future, the time to think about buying it is now.

This naturally aspirated, 85 HP diesel engine is based on a Kubota tractor block and marinized by Beta Marine Ltd.  The beauty of this is that parts and accesories are readily available from the much cheaper tractor supply house instead of the marina.

A beautifully engineered power plant that will give our full displacement vessel a range of over 5000 miles and capable of taking us anywhere in the world we want to go.

The down side of course is the cost.  Our new engine, with the required transmission and electronics, will cost around $27,000.  We hope to raise half of those funds through this Go Fund Me effort.

We would never want our project to take away funds from the many other deserving charities in the world today.  If you have a set amount of disposable income that you set aisde to help others, then by all means, charitable contributions come first.  However, if you enjoy our website or our video series or both and you are interested in becoming involved with the project, this might be a great way to do it.

We haven't worked out the details yet, but every contributor, no matter how big or how small, will be recognized in the finished boat.  Perhaps a wall of fame in the pilot house or a mural on the side of the boat.  Ideas are always welcome.

So check us out by clicking this link:  Sea Dreamer Project and help us prove to the world that nothing is out of reach if we are willing to try.

We are truly honored and humbled by all who have chosen to support us.

Now go create something, you can do it!
