SDA Junior Dance Team
Isabela Fernandez, Ariana Reinoso, Mariah Sorondo, Alexa Rodriguez, Adriana Carrera and Natalia Flores has been dancing 6 years together; currently they all attend “Spotlight Dance Academy” (SDA) training in styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, lyrical and others. They have the privilege to represent the academy competition team for the last 4 years. They average 13 hours a week practicing and thanks to the parent’s guidance and help they also get their school work done, they are proud to say they are “A” students. Spotlight Dance Academy highly enforces these dancers to have good grades in academics to be part of their competitive team.The Spotligh Dance Academy Junior Competition Team is a very dedicated team . They want to be a good example for future dancers that look up to them! These girls put all their hard work into each new dancing season, making Spotlight Dance Academy (SDA) always proud.
They had the opportunity to perform in several important events such as:
The American Airlines Arena at the Miami Heat game half time show .
The FIU finals football game
Baptist Hospital Children’s Event
Felix Varela High School Dance Show
JMC Middle School
They have participated in some of the most popular Dance Competitions Events such as:
- Showbiz Regional Dance Competition winning the 1st place Overall and that qualify them to :
- Showbiz Nationals in Daytona Beach Florida to recompete for the National Championship, (last year they placed in 2nd place overall out of 20 groups.)
- Primetime Dance
-Starbound National Dance Competition
-Next Star National Talent Competition
-Spirit Talented Dance Competition and many others.
These are just some of their highlights as of now, but they are hard workers and put the time and the passion to be better every time.
These girls work hard to fundraise each season with car washes, bake sales and other events. These funds are used to help pay competitions fees, costumes, classes and travelling to Daytona for Nationals.
