On September 14, 2014, Stephen was in a NASCAR Driving Experience accident. He was taken by care flight to a hospital in Cincinnati and remains in critical condition with doctors working to mitigate brain damage and repair numerous broken bones. His family and girlfriend are by his side 24 hours a day.
