The Day Jesus Saved my Life

My name is Scott Laney. I am now 30 years old. I use to work up on the Drilling Rigs in Alaska for 5 years. I made about $120,000 a year doing this job. I worked 3 weeks on and 1 week off. 

February 6th 2014 I got ready for work. My mother was at work and she felt like something bad was going to happen to me and she didn't know when she might lose me forever. So that night she prayed for her son. Dear Heavenly Father I just want to pray that You would forgive me of my sins and send your son Jesus Christ down to hold my son and keep him safe. My mother also didn't know if I would go to Heaven if I passed away.

Then after I got done packing I went to sleep. I woke up in the morning about 3:30 am. After I took a shower I got dressed and went out to my car. I packed my bags in then I went to start my car. I noticed how low I was on gas. So I started to drive down to the gas station on KGB road in Wasilla, Alaska.

By the time I reached mile 8.4 I ran out of gas. I could see the gas station. So I called my neighbor, turned on my hazard lights, and hopped out of my car. I started to walk towards the gas station at 5:20 am. By the time I was 7 car lengths in front of my car I noticed some headlights coming.

My neighbor and his girlfriend could see me. They said I was standing off the road on the other side of the white line just waving my arms. But the driver was blind in one eye and had his cell phone out and he couldn't see me and he hit me going 60 mph. I broke both legs, my left shoulder, and my skull and I started bleeding inside my head.

I guess I called my girlfriend and my good buddy after I was hit. My neighbor ran up to my side and he said my mouth was full of blood. So he tipped me on my side and drained the blood out of my mouth. He just stayed by my side and waited for the ambulance to get there 23 minutes later.

When the ambulance got there they told my neighbor to leave. He said no that's my brother. So they let him come with. He just held on to my hand and was talking to me. I left my body for 21 minutes and remember walking on clouds and seeing Heaven's Gates! I thought I was going to go in. All of a sudden I was back in my body.

I remember seeing an ambulance there but no medics only Jesus Christ! He smiled at me and picked me up. He walked me to the ambulance and set me down. I then felt something weird on my chest. Jesus was kneeling on my right side smiling with his hand above my chest. There was a circular gold glowing crown on my chest. Jesus was healing me and protecting me from death.

My mom then received a call at her work saying I was injured and she needed to come back home. My mother was stuck at work for 2 days though. They wanted to chopper me out of there but it was to windy. The ambulance drove me to the Mat-Sue Regional Hospital. I was there for about 2 hours and I was still awake and I was telling people I seen Jesus!

I don't remember any of this, but this is what I was told. My Aunt Christy and sister Geri came out to see me right away. My aunt Carrie then came out to see me not to much afterwards. My girlfriend friend and her mom came there as well. After that they brought me to Providence so I could have a brain surgeon. I was there for about a month.

My mom said after about 4 weeks she said I could stand by myself. They put two titanium bars in my legs. They had to induce me into a coma for about a week after the car hit me because, I wouldn't go to sleep. My mom finally was able to get in town to me. She said I tried talking to her but I couldn't speak.

Then she left to the cafeteria, while she was gone something stuck her and she was like wow whenever Scotty was like that, he really wanted to tell me something. So she ran back to my room and she said what is it Scotty? I tried speaking but couldn't. Then my mom said is it Jesus? And I shook my head yes. Then I was trying to tell her something else. And my mom said what can you still see Jesus right now? And I shook my head yes again.

After my one month in Providence they took me to St. Elias. I was there for a month and they kept trying to have me do Physical Therapy with my broken arm. But I couldn't do it. They didn't know my arm was broken yet.

My mother got me a lawyer the second she got home. We found out that we only had 2 years to sue the man who hit me. After my one month at St. Elias they took me to Seattle to the Hospital named Harborview. There I spent my last month in the hospital.

My last month in the hospital they were thinking about putting me into a assisted living home. But my mother has had a lot of experience in taking care of individuals who couldn't take care of themselves. So my mom then flew back to Alaska to try and find me an apartment with handicap accessibility. She found one so her and a couple of people helped her get all of my things out of my place into the new apartment. My hospital bills were outrageous. $3,100,000. Luckily my old works insurance covered $3,000,000 of that, but I still owed $100,000.

My memory was slowly coming back to me. My mom was wondering why I didn't have insurance though. My Care Coordinator kept telling my mom though that she turned in all of that paperwork a long time ago. My mom and I were waiting almost a year so I could get insurance so I could have Physical Therapy. My mom and I only had 2 weeks left until I would have lost everything and my mom would have lost her job taking care of me.

Then we found out that the Care Coordinator was lying to us and she didn't turn in none of our paperwork. So we fired her and we hired a new Care Coordinator who got all of my services and insurance set up in only a week. So my mom didn't lose her job with me.

My mom, aunt, sister, and I went bowling one day. I had to go to the bathroom so I went. When I was peeing I told a guy my story. Then he gave me $200. Then I followed him and told him and his wife more of my story then his wife gave me $50.

I went and sat down. My mom came up to me then I told her what happened. Then the man sent his daughters up to my table and they gave me two cupcakes from their birthday party. My mom then filled out these grants for me to get a Alaska Club membership for free and it worked.  Next we started to look for a Physical Therapy for me. We found one that wasn't too far away. The Physical Therapy place wasn't really that great though. Because the PT said I wouldn't be able to walk for 3-5 years. My OT there said I was stupid because I didn't know how to take my jacket off by myself.

My mom and I then started to try and find myself a new Physical Therapy. We found one and it was great! They had me walking all by myself at 11 months after I was hit by that car. The Power of Prayer works! Me and my mom drove into Anchorage to see my cousin because she was about to have a baby boy. I left to go get some food from the cafeteria. When I was coming back to the room I was in the elevator with these medics. I told them how Jesus saved my life. Then one of the medics said that he was there and he brought me into the ambulance. He also told me that I was unresponsive.

Later on I started making these Jesus cards with my extra money I had. They had a picture of Jesus what he looked like to me and my phone number and email address on them so people could call or email me for prayer or my story. I inspired my neighbor went she started seeing my cards everywhere. So I inspired her to start painting bible verses on rocks. And now she writes on the rocks and donates them to a homeless shelter and they sell the rocks and get money for all the homeless children there.

It has finally gotten to my 2 year anniversary of me getting hit by that car. So now all I do all day is praise our God Almighty and give out Our Daily Bread books to people, and I'm trying to get my GED so I can go to a College. So far I've already passed my Math. Now I have to pass my Reading and Writing, Social Studies, and my Science. Well 4-14-16 I took my Social Studies test. I kept passing all of my practice test so I was very confidant. When I started to do my test all of the questions were very hard. Harder than my practice tests. I had to guess on all of my questions. When I was done I had to wait 2 hours to find out my score.

I had to get a 145 to pass. My mom and I kept praying. After the 2 hours was up I checked my score. I scored a 145 so I passed! I called my GED center and told them I passed and since I've passed my Math and Social Studies then they should pay me to teach those subjects to the students. He laughed and said what are you trying to take my job? I said yes.

Now all I have to pass is my Science and Reading and Writing then I'll have my GED. Then I'll be going to At-homeprofessions .edu Yes so this June 17th was my Reading and Writing GED test and we prayed so long and hard that I would be able to pass. I needed a 145 to pass and I scored a 147! So now all I have to pass is my Science then I'll have my GED! Today June 22 I took my first practice test in my Science. My GED teacher said that he's heard that Science was now the hardest subject in my GED. I didn't feel too good with my test until 5 minutes later I scored a 148 so I passed!

So now my mom was very sad because she never thought she was going to be a grandma anymore. My sister never thought she could have a kid either. Until 7 days after I was hit she became pregnant. After she found out it spooked the guy so he left her. So my sister was single until she was about 6 months pregnant. Then she found a new man. They were together for about a year. Then my sister asked the man if he would marry her? He said no because his last marriage didn't go so well.

Then about a month later after my sister was thinking about finding someone new the man agreed to marry her. So about a few months later they got married. Then later on my sister got pregnant again! And my mom one night had a dream. She dreamed my sister was going to have a girl. Then she woke up and said it's a girl! She felt like God gave her the dream.

Then about 2 weeks later my sister went to the doctor and she found out it was indeed going to be a girl! Then one day my mom and I were watching my 1 year old baby nephew and he said my name Scotty 10 times. I was so excited I was telling everyone. Then I told my very good Christian friend. Then he told me that I just probably mistaken him and he just was looking for some toilet paper. Hahaha.

Ok I took my last test today and at the last 7 questions I felt uncomfortable so I prayed then I felt the Holy Spirit among me and I wasn't scared. Then I finished my test and I scored a 158!!! So I passed with the highest score yet! So now I'm going to college and I can take my $5,000 grant my Gma gave me for school. Now I'm done with my college and have a 81% GPA and only need a 70% to graduate! Yes and all Praise and Glory be unto our Father because I just graduated this 8-7-17 only after 7 1/2 months!!! 

And Yahweh has been blessing me amazingly lately! Even though all of my friends and girlfriend of 5 years left me afterwards. I just thank Yahweh everyday and He is and has been there so amazingly! I use to sin everyday before my accident. Now I just try and tell everyone about His love and God said that if you ask for forgiveness He will not remember your sin no more. 

Today is September 22, 2016. My father has been really sick for 3 months because he got cellulitis from work. Before my dad’s last days I asked him if Jesus looked the same to him when he had an outta body experience. He said yes, but He was a lot brighter. In the Bible it says,” In the end we will need no Sun, Moon, or Stars that God will be our Light.” And it also says,” In the end there will be many false Christ’s so to test the spirits.” One way how you can is by asking them,” Was Jesus God and did He come to Earth and die for our sins and rise up from the dead 3 days later?” If they admit it then they are of God and if not then it is the anti-christ. And this July 28th 2016 he passed away ;-(  Call [phone redacted] for prayer. 1 John 4:1-3 1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
