With broken hearts, we are sad to share the news that our beloved friend, Scott Edward Stevenson has passed away.

For those of us who knew Scott, we were not prepared for such a truly special person leave us. We will always remember his witty humor, gracious charm, generous heart and his unconditional loving spirit. Scott was an extraordinary artist who touched peoples lives through his design. He created an impressive amount of work in a lifetime that was cut far too short. We are thankful to have known Scott and ultimately we are grateful to him for gracing us with his presence, love and kindness. We will all miss his infectious smile and his natural ability to lift all of our spirits.

His mother (Jane) and brothers (James and Robert) have flown into New York City from across the country to start the process of responding to this tragedy. We are raising money to help support them with the costs for his arrangements and services. Any extra money raised will be used towards an exhibition of all of his work. No donation is too small. We thank you for your love and support.

Scott Edward Stevenson of Brooklyn, NY, formerly of Marshfield, died on January 26, 2017. He was born February 25, 1988 in Brookfield, WI. He was the son of Jane Stevenson and the late Richard Stevenson. His death was unexpected, and caused by an acute pericardial effusion, leading to heart failure. We believe he passed away peacefully in his sleep, with no pain or trauma.

Scott attended Marshfield schools, then went to Rhode Island School of Design, graduating in Fashion Design in 2010. Scott has been residing in Brooklyn since that time, working as an entrepreneur in the fashion industry.

Scott will be greatly missed by his two brothers, James, Las Vegas, NV, and, Robert, South Charleston, WV.

He is also survived by Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11th at Rembs from 3pm to 7pm.

We will miss you more than words can say, Unforgettable in every way!

Love you always Scott! Mom, James, & Robert.

Thank you all so much for your generous contributions! We are so pleased that we have met our campaign goal and that we are able to collectively support his family during this difficult time. We couldn't have done it without your love and support. Any excess funds will be used towards an exhibition of his work and hopefully a scholarship in his name.

We've learned that Scott died from a sudden illness which led to acute pericardial effusion, which can also be described as excess fluid around the heart. This ultimately caused Scott's heart to fail. We believe that he passed very peacefully in his sleep, with no pain or trauma.

Scott's service will be held this Saturday, February 4th from 1 pm - 4 pm at Andrett Funeral Home, 199 Bleecker Street, New York, NY.

If you would like to send flowers, Scott loved white lilies, orchids and living, green plants. You may send them directly to the funeral home.

Scott dressed to impress, it would be great if we could do the same. If you have any pieces that Scott designed please feel free to wear them.

A collaborative playlist of Scott's favorite songs has been made on Spotify. Please feel free to add tracks.

After his services, we will gather in celebration of our shining star at a venue (to be determined and announced) in the area.

My daughter was in school with Scott and spoke so highly of him and his talent. She brought him to CK for an internship when she left RISD. I met him when I worked at RISD. I feel so sad for his whole family and all his friends. Too soon...much, much to soon!
