Our family needs your help! For those of you who don't know me, I am Mark, Scott's brother. We have been racking our brains trying to figure out the best way possible to help our family during this traumatic and emotional time. We thought the best way is to create this page to tell Scott & Liz's story and hopefully raise a little money to help them get back on their feet.
As most of you know, my brother Scott and his expecting fiance, Liz were victim of a very violent crime. Shortly after midnight on Thursday, February 18th, Scott stepped outside to feed their cat. While he was doing so, two unknown men approached him from behind and forced him back inside their home at gunpoint. At 7 months pregnant, Liz was raped by one of the men. They stole various items such as their cell phones, keys, wallets and electronics. Luckily, both Scott and Liz survived this horrific incident but they are in need of a lot of support at this time and I am hoping you can help!
Their entire life has been put on hold because of this terrifying experience. They have been displaced and are unable to return to their home for fear that something like this could happen again. They have incurred an unimaginable amount of expenses trying to put their lives back together. Their expenses include medical bills, moving costs, home repairs and many more. They are expecting a healthy baby girl on April 20th. We are asking for any amount of donation you are able to give! Every dollar will go towards helping Scott and Liz get back on their feet and will help them provide for their growing family.
Scott and Liz, and our entire family, are so grateful for the overwhelming amount of support we have received thus far during this incredibly tough time. We want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the outpouring of love we have seen over the past few weeks as we all try to move forward. We love you all and thank you so incredibly much.
