Scott Booth Fund

$56,744 of $50,000 goal

Raised by 541 people in 3 months
Created February 12, 2018
Scott Booth sustained life-threatening injuries when the helicopter he was piloting when down in a crash in the Grand Canyon.  He and several passengers were airlifted back to Las Vegas where he has undergone at least one surgery and is expected to need several more.  We do not know his current condition but we expect a long road to recovery.

We are reaching out to the community to help defer some of the medical costs that he and his family will have to burden.

Scott was, STILL is, one of the nicest, kindest human beings on the face of the planet.  He would always offer to help if someone was in need, and would often crack a joke while doing it.  He was and still is about giving to those around him.  Now it is our turn to return the favor.

To those in the pilot community here in Vegas:
You have heard his voice on the radio, flown next to him, and probably shared a few jokes at GCW together.  We are reaching out to all of you for support.  We need to make sure this is shared far and wide across our community.  All of us are family, let's make sure we show it.

To those that have stumbled across this page or have been linked to it:
Donate.  This man and his family need our help.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
The line pilots at Papillon

I had an opportunity to meet with Scott's mother at the hospital this morning. She is a trooper and holding up well. She, and I, would like to express our thanks for all of the support and kind words during this campaign. Words do not do justice to the emotions and the gratitude felt by all parties involved. Scott's mother was blown away by all who stepped up to help. So am I.
I also had an opportunity to see Scott. I will not comment here due to the media attention but I can say that he looks amazingly good considering all that he has been through. The medical staff told me that they are providing the best care available. Thanks to them.
This will more than likely be the last update for a while. I want to thank you all for your ongoing support. Let us hope and pray that it will all come to a positive conclusion.

Many thanks,
TJ

I wanted to thank everyone for all of your donations and heart warming thoughts.

An update:
I will be meeting with Scott's mother later this week to present this fund and all of your words of encouragement. Due to the high profile and attention from the media I am not going to publish anything here as to Scott's condition. What I will share is that Scott is in good hands and receiving the best care possible.
Thanks again for everything, and I will update sometime in the near future.
