Scooby's Surgery Fund

Hi Everyone.  Scooby and I really need your help.  He is a loving 5-year-old cat who was fine and active up until two nights ago.  It became very difficult for him to breathe, he stopped eating and drinking (absolutely nothing) and he now has difficulty resting in any position other than an upright position.  We visited the vet and it was thought that he may just be severely dehydrated and constipated.  We were pretty confident that hydrating him and using a prescription laxative would do the trick.  However, his symptoms have only worsened and only continuing to do move in that direction.  The doctor now says he needs immediate hospitalization because kidney failure is likely taking place.  The doctors feel immediate and aggressive treatment could save his life. 

I just moved to a new city after losing my job without warning.  I was just in the process of regaining my footing in life, and I simply cannot afford the medical costs.  I have no support and I am trying to do everything on my own. I am in desperate need of any help that I may receive.  I have no other options at this piont in time.  I have exhausted all other possibilities and this is my last and best hope.  Any contribution would be incredibly appreciated by the both of us.  I thank any and all who are in the position and inclined to help.  I thank those of you who choose not to as well.  Just getting his story out there is already a giant step in the right direction.  Thank you for your time in reading this.

UPDATE:  My cat was in such poor shape that I took him back to Acacia Medical and they X-rayed again.  It is now their firm belief that he swallowed something foreign.  They are aggressively working to get a surgery scheduled for tomorrow with a partner non-profit surgeon in West Palm Beach.  They require at least 50 percent of the surgery cost, which will be $1400.  Any little bit helps.  I could use your help desperately to save Scooby.  Is this possible?
