School for children - Côte d´Ivoire
My name is Lisa and I want to change the live for the children in Côte d´Ivoire.
I always be on mind with this important and terrible subject. Children don´t go to school, because theire parents need them for working on the cocoa plantation to get a bit money to feed the family. The children also have not often the oppertunity to go to school, because there are too less buildings or they are too dilapidated .
There are a few good organisations who support those families and fight for fair cocoa prices for the farmers. There are also a few big cooperations, who talks about helping this poor kids and build new schools. Many of this buildings are still not finished.
I belive, that every person can effect something for this kids. We all love chocolate, but don´t make any thoughts about who reaps it. Kids, who are not older than 10 years, who can not read or write. Kids, who have no prespective for a good education or a good job.
With this donate, we can not help every child or family in Côte d´Ivoire, but it´s a first step to the right direction. We should not hope that someone else will care about it and something will happen. Let us take it into our own hands.
Our aim with this money is, that we can support organizations, who really build schools for this children. If we reach this target, I will convince myself there local and give you updates about the construction progress.
