Quel est le point commun entre un jeune sans formation, un jeune diplômé et un senior ? La perspective du chômage.
Les chiffres et statistiques s’érigent en baromètre, nos gouvernements commentent et cherchent des solutions.
Je vous propose d’aborder ce sujet sous un angle radicalement différent.
Je souhaite réaliser une pièce de théâtre qui aborde le chômage avec humour au travers de sketches issus de situations vécues.
Trois certitudes sont à l’origine de ce projet :
o Le chômage n'est pas qu'une affaire de statistiques.
o Il touche l'être humain dans son quotidien, son milieu social.
o Il impacte le moral de chacun, la santé, la reconnaissance sociale et les relations en général.
Le spectacle propose une « rétrospective » dans le temps :
Au temps des Gaulois, sous la Révolution, les années 80 et de nos jours. Le chômage sera dédramatisé, humanisé…l’humour est le fil conducteur.
Je m'appelle Nathalie Wettling. J'ai créé un site d'aide à la recherche d'Emploi et un réseau social (Workeyes.fr , Workeyes.net). Je compte sur votre solidarité et je vous invite à partager ce projet autour de vous, à faire un don (même petit) pour m'aider au financement. Ce spectacle sera joué à Paris et interprété par des comédiens et des chômeurs. Les fonds récoltés serviront à la mise en scène, la rémunération des acteurs, les moyens techniques et la publicité.
Je recherche une compagnie de théâtre prête à se lancer, avec moi, dans cette aventure.

My project is to set up a theatre play, I consider theatre is the best place to talk and laugh about almost any topic. On stage people cheat, laugh, commit crimes, lie; they are poetic, desperate, fall in love and die for it.
My project is far from being so romantic, actually it is not romantic at all. It is about unemployment.
My name is Nathalie Wettling and I am the co founder of a website dedicated to jobseekers (workeyes.fr)
The play will cover those situations you or your relatives have probably known or experienced while seeking and applying to a job.
No matter your age, socioeconomic status or skin color, living in either Paris or New York, the same kind of daily adventures hit your self esteem and leave you speechless if you incidentally lose your job.
I believe theatre actually is the perfect place to show how difficult it is to maintain a social recognition when you are jobless. And, at the end of the day, how tough it is to face the trendy social weight of being an entrepreneur or a start-upper when you have not the slightest idea of what to do.
This play will be made of sketches, based upon my own experience, and some stories I have been told. The common feature of these sketches will be humor.
The« cherry on top of the cake» will be a short review tracking our French history and the evolution of our unemployment, from the times when France was called « la Gaulle », through the French revolution, into the eighties and today.
This is not only a project, is it my wish, and I will do my best to achieve it.
