Saving Honey

This poor baby was wandering down a side road near 147th Ave & 232nd St in Homestead, FL. I happened to be working at the time and she stopped right in front of my car. It was obvious that she was not only malnourished but severely injured. She was mauled by dogs and has very serious wounds. 

This poor baby hasn't had a very long life, she is under a year old, and has already endured so much. It's my goal to give her a chance at the life she should have had from the very beginning. A life filled with love and care.

Honey is currently in critical condition at Redland Animal Hospital where she is fighting for her life. Her current medical bill is about $700 and the expenses are adding up quickly. They tell me she has a long road of recovery ahead of her. It is looking like she may require surgery to have one of her legs amputated and the injury to her mouth is also a concern.

The staff at Redland Animal Hospital are the ones who named this sweet girl.  Not only for her coloring, but because she is as sweet as honey! I think the name suits her perfectly.
