Saving 100 Dogs from Shelters
Save A Life Canada Animal Rescue Society is a registered and incorporated nonprofit animal welfare and rescue organization located in Nova Scotia, Canada. We travel all over Canada and the United States from Nova Scotia to rescue dogs from high kill shelters, sometimes traveling over 1,200 miles each month.
We have been able to save 600+ dogs from euthanasia since we've began our global rescue transports. There is a good chance that we have helped in your local area before; from New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, Texas, California, and to Korea.
We travel to aid other rescues and shelters, and to help save the dogs who need us the most, that are overlooked by others in shelters. Our rescue is strictly foster based, so all of our dogs remain with loving family homes until healed, rehabilitated, and ready to find a forever home of their own.
Our goal is to help wherever we can. We have been blessed to manage and fund over 40 life saving rescues and transports to date. Saving mostly chihuahuas, pit bulls, seniors, and special needs. The most euthanized in our world today. From blind dogs, amputees, tripods and two legged dogs, major skin and organ issues, to deaf and immobile; we have helped them all and hope you can help us continue to save the most at risk.
This summer, we hope to save more dogs from high kill shelters and abandonment. From local dogs, to global dogs, there are so many that need us. This fundraiser will help 100 dogs receive a freedom ride into rescue, medical care, a foster home, and a forever home. We will be making consistent updates on the dogs we save and upcoming transports through GoFundMe and on our Facebook page.
Each transport holds 30-40 dogs and averages around $5000. This includes general medical care for all of the dogs before they come into our care and their travel crate costs. For every dollar you donate you are helping to provide one of our dogs with a home and a vital second chance. Please help us fund our first transport by July 1st.
