Saving Squirrel

Over the weekend of 7/12 my twin sister's baby boy Squirrel started having serious health issues. He randomly just stopped eating and drinking and was unable to walk around and wasn't being his normal self.

After a visit to the emergency vet he was said to have pancreatitis, an unknown infection, and was slightly anemic and needed to stay the night over. This morning 7/15 it was a concern that he was showing symptoms of FIP which would mean surgery and a 5% chance of survival even with that surgery....the good news is we just received an update that the sample and test for that came back negative and that there is still hope for him.

The bad news is we still don't know what's wrong him or how serious it all still is. They are currently trying to stabilize his temperature and health so that he is strong enough to get to Fort Wayne where the doctors there should be able to better help him and identify what the exact issue is. We are more than likely still preparing ourselves for a surgery of some sort and are just continuing to cross our fingers and hope we have more good luck our way. 

Squirrel has helped my sister thru so many hard times and he is so important to her and our whole family. He means the world to us and I know she will do and pay for whatever she needs to if it makes sense too and means he would have a chance to live. 

I am asking for help and donations to put towards his medical bills which as of right now I know are around $1,000 due to the blood draws and 1 overnight stay so far. This could easily add up to 3-5X that amount over the course of the next few days though. 

Any amount you're able to contribute would be so appreciated to help my sister during this time in getting Squirrel the help he needs and to alleviate even the smallest amount of stress for her around all of this if at all possible.
