Nafisa is a doctor with three children and a husband. She was attacked with acid in Afghanistan and forced to flee. She and her family are stuck in Turkey with ongoing threats to their lives.
REFUGE AND RELIEF
OFWI is providing assistance with medical relief and support to her family in Turkey. Our goal is to raise funds to get her the treatment her and her daughter need and to resettle Nafisa and her family to Canada as refugees. To make this a reality, we need your help.
FUNDRAISING GOAL
We need to raise $125,000 to help Nafisa recover and provide support the needed support through the refugee process. Here's what the money is for:"
$60,000 for living and medical expenses in Turkey where the family is currently based.
$40,000 for refugee sponsorship for Nafisa and her family.
$20,000 for international air travel to Canada.
$5,000 for legal and administrative fees.
Her daughter was with her during the acid attack and also burned.
The burns from the acid attack has resulted in several surgeries and she will require more.
