Rebuilding Ms. Pat’s Barn

Hey there fellow Hermitageans! Have you seen it? The big red barn has collapsed . I spoke with the owner, Ms. Pat, and she said that none of the animals were injured thank God. She’s known the barn was on its last leg for a while now so had it blocked off to the horses. She does keep some of her farm equipment in there along with some hay for the animals. I asked her if she was going to rebuild it and she said, “Well, I just don’t have the money.” As soon as I heard that, I thought this could be a great opportunity for our community to show her some love! What that means, I don’t know. Could we gather up some people for cleanup (we have to make sure it’s safe First), could we raise $ for her? Do we have people in our community who could build a better barn, that the horses could go into this winter to stay warm? 

This was the post post on Facebook that got this fundraiser started!!  Wasn’t sure how much we needed so I put a pretty lofty goal!!  Let’s see what we can do to help a wonderful woman and save a Hermitage landmark!!
