This is a fund to help save Sheldon, my sweet boy. Sheldon is my best friend, and the closest I have to a child.
On thanksgiving night I heard a knock at the door and recieved the news that my cat had been involved in an accident. I didn't know exactly what I should do, so I began calling veterinarians for help. I'll never forget how he looked, and how sweet he was, almost as if to comfort me in our final moments together.
By some miracle his vital signs were completely stable and they said he wasn't in much pain, so I made the choice to drive him to Memphis Veterinary Specialists where a surgeon was waiting for me. Both the initial vet and the doctors at MVS told me I should give him a chance. As for the extent of his injuries, his upper palate is split in half, the skin and fur on his chin is disconnected from the bone and sagging, and his jaw is broken in multiple places. They say the surgery is doable, and he could still have great quality of life. I accepted the deposit of an initial $3500. I would go to the end of the earth for Sheldon. I love him.
Sheldon and I have a special history. The night of my grandmothers death, my family was having a very hard time. Sheldon, unknown at the time, snuck in my house and got on my bed with me and laid on my chest. He watched over me and gave me company in that dark time. We have been best friends ever since.
I don't make much money, and I try to save what I do make in case of emergencies. Regardless of how much support I recieve on GoFundMe I will spend whatever I can to make sheldon's life better, even if it breaks me. I'm asking anyone who has the ability to send help our way, please do so.
