Save Tony's Leg (and Cass's Spine!)

My name is Tony and I completely ruptured my Achilles’ tendon on June 22nd while exercising. Today (the 28th) I successfully underwent surgery to stitch the tendon back together, but I’ll be in a cast, on crutches, and doing physical therapy for the next 3-6 months.
Unfortunately, in the interim my lovely wife, Cass, threw her back out while trying to care for me, our daughter Charlotte, the house, and our two puppers, Loki and Peppa. It’s both sad and funny to watch us rolling around the house in computer chairs moving laundry, doing dishes, etc.
I’m starting this Gofundme for a few reasons:
First, my insurance, Tricare, doesn’t cover a knee scooter. I guess it’s a luxury to be able to stand up straight and use *both* of my hands! As I can’t put any weight on my left foot, it means I’m basically worthless for any task I can’t do sitting down.
Second, Cass isn’t supposed to lift anything more than ten pounds, and bending over is tantamount to trying to fold a bowling ball in half.
Third, our rambunctious child has a bit too much energy during the day for both of us given our conditions. It’s not fair for her to be our gopher and not get to engage in normal 6 year-old summer activities.
The fund will be used for the following:
To get me either a scooter or one of those peg-leg braces (Charlotte has already picked ‘Sushi’ as my pirate name),
Pay for a cleaning service for the next month or two to give Cass’s back time to recuperate, and
Pay for a day-camp or a few activity camps for Charlotte until school starts up again.
Anything donated over the goal will be used to extend the cleaning service/day camps.
You never think you’ll be in a situation where you need to depend on the kindness of others, but supporting Cass, Charlotte, and my two other children from a previous marriage on one salary is hard enough without all the medical shenanigans!
