Save Thompson Hall

Since 1916, Charles Thompson Memorial Hall has been the heartbeat and principal social hub for Deaf people throughout Minnesota. It is considered one of the oldest Deaf Clubs in the world. Thompson Hall is proudly owned by the Deaf community and managed by dedicated Deaf volunteers. To continue to use the building and be appreciated by all, it must be made accessible to all, regardless of physical ability.

In July 2017, a committee was formed to work towards adding an elevator and preserve the historical landmark building for our future generations of Deaf and community members for the next 100 years. The committee is a collaboration of individuals which initially started with the CTMH Board of Trustees and Deaf Equity Board and has since included many other passionate members and organizations who support this important cause.

We need your financial support in helping us with this project. $130,000 is needed to launch Phase One.  This phase includes project planning, fund development and blueprints. If we reach our Target Goal, all remaining funds will go towards Phase Two of the project for construction. See our website for more information at charlesthompsonhall.org/SaveTH/.
