Save the stray dogs of Malaga
Donation protected
I am a dog lover. Like most people I do not want to see animals suffer.
Scott and I moved to Spain at the beginning of 2018 and it soon became apparent there is a large stray dog problem.
What started as seeing a few dogs now and again and wondering where their owners were, turned into us literally walking past scared, hungry strays every time we went into our town.
We started to feed the strays although this is illegal in Spain, and the dogs here don’t get sent to shelters but rounded up to kill stations. People even dump their own loved pets there as they are now boring or to old and especially the unwanted hunting dogs which have horrible life’s .
In just one hour we walked past 5 strays in a very small area. In one week we will see maybe 20-30 just driving around. They are scared and hungry and wanting just to be loved again. Some are tiny yorkies, some are big gentle giants....and you have to wonder what did they do to be on the street.
Now we have to do something about it!
Our aim is to get these dumped dogs off the streets and rehomed!
We will cover vet bills (castrations, pet passport, chips etc) , take them
in off the street into our home, and then get them rehomed
This all costs money and the only way I can help is with donations and funding. With the right funding I can build kennels here after applying for my license and take even more dogs in.
First we will start small and help already existing charities with fostering. We will
continue to feed strays so they do not starve to death and where posisble remove them. Again funds permitting!
The end goal is our own registered charity actively rehoming these dogs ourselves!!
Could you walk past a starving helpless dog or a box of puppies and just leave them?
The situation here is desperate and existing shelters are at breaking point. Please please any little you can donate means I can help get these dogs off the street and save more!
Just £1 will help towards bedding and food and vet bills.
Lets save these dogs and show them what a real home should be!
