Save The "Byrd" House!
Donation protected
I am not one that is comfortable asking for help, but at this point I have no other choice. It is -1 degree outside and I need to raise $7,500 to keep my house or become one of the growing number of homeless. The default must be cured by February 20th or the Foreclosure process begins, so this is incredibly time sensitive.
My husband passed away in November 2014 and at that time he was the sole breadwinner. The past 4 years have been a rough transition raising our 2 sons, but both of them have excelled academically. As for me, I was able to find a job and return to school to finish my Bachelor’s degree. It was difficult to balance both school and work and provide the emotional support we all needed, but somehow we have succeeded. This fall I lost my job due to the decline in business and I had been unable to secure a new full-time position until just recently. With my little savings I was only able to maintain the utilities and basic bills, but not enough to make the mortgage.
This $7,500 brings me current and able to resume my mortgage which means the difference between saving my home or finding myself homeless. I have no family that can help, so this is my heartfelt plea to the public. I am humbled and embarrassed as is often the case for anyone who has ever had to ask for help. Please be assured your donations are gratefully received and will be put solely to the aforementioned purpose. Thank you in advance for your kindness and consideration.
