Save the Moon (Or Luna Kitty)!

Luna Marie Jackson was born March 13th, 1999 in a homeless man's shack off the river in Willimantic CT.   Twenty-four hours later she was nestled in Jessie's sweatshirt hood.   She has been with Jessie ever since.  They have lived in ten different homes in multiple states and taken several cross country road trips. 

Five months ago Jessie lost her home.   For the first time in 18 years, Luna and Jessie were separated.  Luna's foster 'caretaker' discovered an allergy to cats a few months later.   It took almost six weeks to find a new foster cat caretaker.  The day before moving the new caretaker fell ill and landed in the hospital.  

Friends of friends of friends reached out to try and find a space for Luna.  Everyone assumed the next person would help out.

With no place to bring her, Jessie was facing having to put her cat to  sleep.  The idea of putting a perfectly healthy cat to sleep because of a few weeks of not having a home is heartbreaking.  

Scraping a little from a couple friends Jessie was able to put Luna into a low-cost Kennel in NH for a few nights.  

Luna needs money to stay in the kennel.  


Cat boarding is 17.00 per night.
Go fund me takes 7.9% plus 30 cents on each donation.
We are anticipating six weeks of boarding.

If just 23 people are willing to give the equivalent of 80 cents a day ($33.60)Luna will be covered.  That's 5 cups of coffee or a little over a tank of gas. 

The new caretaker will not be able to take on Luna until the end of the first week in October.  Before that Jessie is at a loss. 

Please help keep Luna alive and happy until Jessie is no longer homeless or her new foster-cat-care person is able to take her in.   Jessie expects to move into her own place within a couple months.  Luna and Jessie will then be reunited and she can spend the rest of her life happy in the comfort of her human companion.
