Our little rescue Lab/dachsund mix, Sable, was attacked and bitten twice by an alligator while we were walking around Delray Regional Park. She miraculously escaped the gators grasp and and thanks to Dr Butzer, Dr Brady and the wonderful staff at Clint Moore Animal Hospital, she is doing well on her long road to recovery.

I'm sorry it's been so long since we've posted an update on Sable. Sable has had pretty rough week, but you'd never know because she's always wagging her tail and saying hello to everyone. She got an infection last week, and we've been taking her to see Dr Brady and the wonderful staff at Clint Moore Animal Hospital everyday for treatment, which she has responded to very well, her sores are shrinking and drying out. She still has a long way to go and we thank you all for your well wishes and support. Sincerely, Sable, Lindsay and Jason

Sable had her appointment today to get her stitches out, the Doctor was happy with how everything looked. She does have a new open wound, they sent a culture out to find out if it is bacteria or a worse case a flesh eating virus. She is now having to go every day to visit the Doctor and get an antibiotic shot and iv fluids! We know sable is a little fighter and will get through this next hurtle as well! Thank you for your continue support and sharing of her story.

Sable is happy to be home, she still has to take it easy till her wounds heal and stitches come out. Her fur sister sandy is happy to have her back, but they both are mad that play time is still on hold. We have had lots of hugs and snuggles over the past few days, and getting use to sables sleep schedule. Thank you everyone for all the prayers, we will keep everyone updated on how she is doing.
