On the 20th of October this puppy was found on the side of a road.

He had been hit by a car. He had been abandoned. He was injured, alone and afraid. He had a broken and dislocated leg. His back left leg. He was covered in blood. He was in pain. With no chip, no collar. He was in trouble...

But an 18-year-old girl with a big heart found him and saved him! She picked him up, took him home in her arms so her family could help the puppy. She named him Ron.

The girl and her family looked into Ron’s sad eyes and they knew they had to help him. But even though they wanted to, they couldn’t look after Ron long term. They took him to the vet and he received the urgent medical care he needed to make him comfortable. His leg was very sore and painful. The vet said Ron needed an operation to help his leg heal. But the girl and her family couldn't afford to pay for the operation that he so desperately needed.

On the 21st of October I met them at the vet and they told me what had happened. I promised to help.

Ron is adorable. He makes friends with everyone. He’s very brave. Even though he is in pain and cries he is nice to people and other dogs and wags his tail.

Ron said goodbye to the girl and her lovely family and has now spent the last few days with a lovely couple that have given him their full attention. Today (31st October) is the day of the operation and the good news is he is going to get better and have a full time home from tomorrow!

Ron needs help to pay for his treatment, this is the cost of the actual surgery, xrays and over night stay at hospital. His leg will heal and he will be ok, so he can be a normal happy dog. The vet can’t be 100% sure the leg will grow normally. But Ron will be ok.

Your donation would mean the world to us, as they say every penny helps! Help us save Ronnie!

Ayúdanos a salvar a Ronnie!
