Save Rays Records RPM Music
In July of 2016, I, Ray Pate, opened RPM MUSIC CHICAGO. For the 2 Years I was here I struggled but always paid the rent. For a good amount of that time I was making weekly payments that the landlord was accepting. Then one day out of the blue, he said: "I need money, pay everything now or I will put all of your stuff in the street !" He then illegally and unethically turned off my electricity service and water. I called the city, they came out and ordered him to restore services. He ignored their orders ! Then on Friday the 7th of September he locked me out of my store. Then, that night, night he came back with a truck and tried to steel my inventory and possessions, but was (very luckily for me) seen by neighbors who called me. I arrived with the police who ordered him to put everything back and promise to leave me access to the store. The following day I I find I can't get in because the locks were changed, which is again illegal and massively unethical. On top of all of this I had to be hospitalized for several days for a serious infection in my leg. LOL I know this is like a bad C&W Song! While I was in the hospital he robbed my store of over $100,000 in product which was again illegal and unethical and against the direct orders of the Chicago Police. Please help me stop this guy from destroying my business. I have to take him to court to get my inventory back which will be expensive. Estimates are from 10 to 15k. The costs of relocating will be similar. Please help! My store is my life. At the moment, due to many factors, without your help I will be out of business. Please help restore RPM Records at a new location. Thank you so very much. Ray Pate. Oh, to say thank you, donors will receive a lifetime discount TBD at RPM!
