Save Our Faith Lutheran Church

Faith needs your help to keep the doors of our small country church open.  Faith Lutheran Church is located in a small town in a rural farming community in northeast North Dakota. As  our congregation is aging and dwindling, we struggle to attract young families because we lack some of the basic necessities.  We need to install plumbing for a new bathroom and kitchen, as well as handicap accessibility so anyone can come to worship.  We put on a new roof, painted, and fixed basement water damage, but our funds are now depleted.  

We joined with 2 other rural churches within a 30 mile radius to share ministry services and yet we struggle to pay for our 1/3 share of that, along with our winter heating bills.  We have been asked to be part of an intern training program and look forward to helping a young minister realize the special circumstances in rural church ministry.

As president of our church, I feel strongly about keeping Faith in our community.  I was confirmed there 50 years ago, baptized our children and grandchildren, taught Sunday School, and buried my parents with the help of our small church.  We have helped many from birth to death.  I believe faith needs to play a big part in our lives.  Without a church like Faith Lutheran right in our community, families quickly lose their connection to God.

We would be so grateful for your help.  We had nowhere else to turn.
