Save Juliette's Hope Recovery Home

I met Kim Russo today - and visited Juliette's Hope Recovery Home.  I've been to many recovery homes over the years that help women start over.  I usually volunteer my services by teaching workshops and classes for the women, but Juliette's Hope is in need of much more than just the classes I have to offer.  THEY NEED YOUR HELP.

Lockland recovery home faces possible eviction  (WCPO News Video)

They are in a court battle for their home.  Since their home was originally leased to them at $1 a year - they have no funds in their budget to move or pay rent.  If they do not prevail in court, they will need a new location.

AND IF THAT IS NOT ENOUGH..... They do not have the funds to get through the remainder of the month!

Resources have just dried up and they find themselves not knowing how they will continue on.  Kim has been taking the girls to speak to any church or organization that would let them share their stories, and they would receive an offering to keep them afloat. Those times are few and far between and barely keeps them going.

Her church has tried to support them, but they cannot carry the weight alone either.  It takes a community - will you join the community of support to help Juliette's Hope?

Pic - These ladies were 2 of the first 8 and they are still doing great!! So so proud of them.

There is a small group of us renegades who are rallying around Kim trying to help Juliette's Hope prevail.  We are coming together to get the word out TO YOU for help, AND we are in the process of organizing computer training for the women and establish an e-commerce site to help them support their own cause by selling handcrafted accessories and repurposed and upcycled home accessories. We are doing everything we can - but we cannot do it alone either.

Kim Russo is a lovely woman with a heart for helping women but she just cannot do this alone - SHE NEEDS YOUR HELP - Frankly - She needs money to keep going.  Can you help?

THERE IS AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR FINANCIAL HELP

This is an immediate need to sustain the support of the home and the women in recovery in the home.

--They need what you need -- Everyday life things - Utilities, Food, Staples, Hygiene items, Toilet paper, Paper towels, Cleaning Products...... and more. These things cost money. Everything COSTS money.

--Fuel and Auto Maintenance for a 15 passenger van.... etc.

REAL LIFE RECOVERY  (Facebook Video)

I met 8 women today and toured the house - I was brought to tears by the testimonies of changed lives - you will be too.  Kim needs help to continue to help these women and the ones that are coming.

WHY AM I ASKING FOR $20,000?
Because I want to set them up for success - to get them over the hump - to help them have a budget that is planned out ahead of time vs. having more month than money.  I actually want them to receive more than the $20,000 - I am being conservative! :)  They need regular supporters after the immediate need is met - CAN YOU GIVE A MONTHLY DONATION TO THEM SO THEY WILL NOT BE IN THIS SITUATION AGAIN?

Kim Russo and the women of Juliette's hope are grateful for any help that you could give.  I'm hoping you will bless their socks off!

The uniqueness about Juliette's Hope and what Kim is doing is these women do not get kicked out after 6 weeks or 3 months like most recovery homes. They stay until they have progressed to the place of supporting themselves. There are two houses - one for those initially entering the program and a second one down the street for those who have transitioned to working and living in a sharing environment preparing them for the next step - living on their own.  Kim's success rate with these women is amazing!  She told me, "I need a bigger building to help more women"... and she does.  Currently, she has 12 women - 4 in the home where they are now holding jobs - and 8 in the first phase home.

I THINK I HAVE SAID ENOUGH . . . We anticipate hearing from you, and remain hopeful and grateful for any help that you can give Kim Russo and Juliette's Hope Recovery Home.

Kim Russo founded Juliette’s Hope in 2017 in honor of her mother, renting the building from Christian Inn Ministries for $1 per year. She was in the process of buying it until a new landlord took over in 2018 and placed an eviction notice on their front door.

"We've been here two years, and there's been thousands of volunteer hours and a lot of money put into it," she said.

"Now I have girls that have been here over a year and are starting to work," she said. "Now they are building a relationship back up with their families, and it's fabulous, and I would hate to see any of that get lost."
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________Juliette's Hope Recovery Community is a residential environment for women ages 18 and older who suffer from life-controlling issues. Life-Controlling issues fall into 3 categories: 1) substance 2) behavior 3) relationships.

We are a faith-based housing community of women ages 18 years of age and over whose lives have become unmanageable due to addiction, domestic violence, and human trafficking. We provide access to state-certified counselors and medical providers that utilize medication-assisted treatment.

Our program focuses on creating a culture of compassion, dignity, and accountability. Each resident will develop the skills necessary for a life of recovery. Guided by Christian principles and focused on treating the whole person - mind, body, and spirit.

Juliette's Hope Recovery Community is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
