Save Ipsum Vinoteca

Ipsum Vinoteca is a unique place and is fighting live or die battle, a David vs Goliath battle, our landlord has changed the lock of the bar and we need your help to reopen, you can read the details on our facebook page. 

Many of you, one way or another have heard of Ipsum Vinoteca, in November would have been our 4th birthday, my dream that somehow became my nightmare by choosing to rent from the wrong people. I always had to fight with my landlord, every day of my tenancy, from when I found out that in the lease there was a clause preventing me for having a sign, but they were able to put scaffolding covering the whole facade of the building with massive adverts for 14 months for which they were paid substantial amount of money that were never shared with the businesses in the building to compensate us, to when I have been asked to pay for keeping the parking clear when I am not even allowed to park or pay for the cleaning of the main building when I have my own entrance and I clean it, and none of our customer uses it, till the latest flooding, it has been an almost 4 year long battle to stay in business.

All of this, made Ipsum Vinoteca not an easy journey, but choices were made, and Ipsum Vinoteca became what it is, and I am proud of what we have achieved against all odds, but I dont want to give up, I am sure I am on the right and unfortunately "justice" is a word for  people who can afford it. I am raising this funds to defend Ipsum Vinoteca against its landlord. 

Every contributions, with the addition of a bit of interest, will be rewarded with vouchers to spend at the bar and if my claim against the landlord is successful, I will donate all money raised to a charity. If you like the idea of Ipsum Vinoteca still being around, please help. 

I personally think that it will be a shame if Ipsum Vinoteca was to go and Leeds will become a poorer city because we brought something new, different to the city, not everyone has given us a chance but the people that did, they loved us, appreciated our philosophy, ethic, honesty. We use fresh and quality local produce, we shop from the Leeds market, we support and give back to the local economy. 

As per me, if you know me, then you know that I work very hard, I am passionate, and I spent hundred of hours per week sat at the bar talking to you when I wasnt downstairs cooking, Ipsum Vinoteca has been my life and house and everything for the last 4 years and I am not ready to let it go yet, so if you can, help us
