Thank you for taking the time to read all about our family's crisis. We appreciate your support beyond words. Every amount big or small, it all counts, and it all adds up to go directly towards our growing legal costs. We have spent in excess of $20,000 so far and we are literally fighting for Hank’s life as the Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC) have continued their order to have him put to death and denied Tammy and Nathan (his owners) the opportunity to meet with the Mayor Allan Sutherland or CEO Daryl Hitzman. We have no opportunity to have witness statements heard or considered, nor improve Hanks daily conditions and welfare without a legal battle. He is not coping. He has only 2 half hour exercise visits with Tammy each week. He has numerous infections, abrasions, and declining health issues including muscle wastage due to lack of exercise. It is killing us to watch our boy deteriorating before our eyes inside this tiny cage not meant for long term confinement. But we won't give up on him as he is a well behaved, much loved member of our family. Crate trained, and used to being an inside dog, not stuck out in the weather.

We are overwhelmed with many kind offers of support and donations and believe us every little bit helps and we thank you wholeheartedly.

I started this GoFundMe Page back in April 2017, with a target of $11,000 and a $15,000 legal bill. We could not have imagined that in 2018 we would still fighting! But we will continue this fight for Hank's life and freedom. We can't give up on Hank, and we gain strength from all of our caring supporters. We have been forced to update our target amount to $25,000 which allows us to continue the battle, which we have no plans to stop until he is safely back with us.

We are fighting for a fair hearing from Moreton Bay Regional Council, fighting for Hank to be released back to his family as they had allowed him to be before suddenly and cruelly changing their mind. We are heartbroken, but thank you for your support as every bit counts and we are incredibly grateful.

The Story, in brief:
Hank accidentally injured a child at a private residence in October 2016. A clumsy puppy with a big frame, excited after playing with other dog friends and then about to receive a pat from his little human friend, whom he had played with many times before - Hank moved and appeared to nudge the child and she received an injury to her face. All witnesses agreed it was an accident, including the child's mother, who continued to allow her child to frequent the residence in which Hank lived. The child did require surgery and stitches.

A short time later due to a complaint being received, Moreton Bay Regional Council declared him a regulated dog and his owners were provided a permit to keep him with associated 'dangerous dog' conditions. This was despite the owners being refused evidence and reports from Council so they could fairly respond to challenge the allegations of him being a danger to anyone.

Hank's living arrangements were approved and inspected to be complaint on multiple occasions and all seemingly seemed peaceful.

That was until May 2017 when Moreton Bay Regional Council when suddenly and without warning they issued a warrant and attended Hank's home without his owners present and they seized Hank. They issued a destruction order at the same time and took him away to the sub-standard facility at RSPCA Dakabin, where he has been kept ever since. This took place despite there being no new evidence, no new complaints, no new incidents and no proper investigations. Nothing was done wrong.... Hank was complying with all his conditions.

So far, Moreton Bay Regional Council have ignored the owners' requests for a meeting so they can provide them all the evidence they have been fighting so hard to demonstrate. MBRC have forced the matter to QCAT and still continue to refuse to hear from the owners and witnesses. The journey has been drawn out and stressful for Hank's owners, but also most of all Hank - who has been locked up all this time.

We need to get Hank home but need to continue to fight. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

For the record, my name is Taya Bradshaw, I am the sister of Tammy Bradshaw who is the owner of Hank, and the funds are going directly to our parents Malcolm and Cheryl Bradshaw who are helping Tammy cover the legal costs to fight for Hank.

It's such a shame that the legal and bureaucratic rubbish always casts a shadow over people trying to do the right thing.
