Save Chanelle from being Euthanized

As disturbing as this story is, it is quite true. This dear Himalayan Persian named Chanelle will be euthanized if I do not pick her up by Saturday at 6pm. The problem? The lady had a son who is allergic to cats. Why can't she just place the cat in the shelter? It seems she is afraid of having them land in a bad home, so there is some compassion(?). However, Chanelle had all 4 of her paws declawed.
Efforts were already being made on Reddit for someone to take them in but there was no luck, that's when a user posted their story on TheCatSite.com and I pounced on the opportunity.
After many tries of calling, I had a long conversation with the lady. With a long conversation my wife and I finally convinced her we will take good care of her. Turns out though, that Channel has/had some other health issues. Multiple teeth removed due to infections, gastrointestinal issues and she apparently poos on beds when she gets nervous. Does this bother me? No way, we are all unique and each have our individual problems in life.
The problem is I live near Milton, Ontario and this kitty cat is in Quebec city. That's an 8-8.5 hour trip each way. Quite the drive? I think so, but wait there's more. A snow storm is supposed to happen tomorrow in Quebec as well. Who can say no to her pretty face though? After work my wife and I will be driving from here and getting a room for the night once we reach Quebec (estimate midnight). Then the next morning we will go pick Chanelle up.
The reason I am making this GoFundMe? I unfortunately had to put my sweet princess to sleep two weeks ago after a long battle with cancer... this caused me to be quite cash strapped.
The original Kijiji post has her up for $300, but I managed to haggle the price down to $250 since I will have to use quite a bit of gas.
That's where you guys come in.
Please help me raise the $250 needed for her and to help with travel expenses (gas+room for the night). Any/all leftover money will go to having her looked at by a vet at my local cat-only clinic and maybe even a nice metal brush, who knows?
