Save Bob The neighborhood stray! My White Whale

Bob is a neighborhood stray cat that needs surgery ASAP! Hopefully can have enough $ raised by monday! I have been trying to trap him to get him fixed since I moved here about 2 years ago. He comes and goes and I go months and months without seeing him and assume he's dead. I'm surprised He made it through this last winter.
Bob is friendly-ish. It is obvious he has had a very hard life and has been abused. Bob flinches every time you touch him. I have had him in my care since Tuesday and I can finally get him to purr. He is also flinching less every time I sit with him and pet him. He eats like a horse and was even playing with a catnip mouse yesterday for a bit!
Bob has a massive necrotic facial wound that needs surgery. I have taken him to Obetz Vet, where I take my other rescue cats, and they are very optimistic if he can have the surgery and they remove all the dead tissue.
I myself can usually afford normal things for my rescue cats (annuals, vaccines, flea prevention, etc.) but run into trouble with larger issues such as what Bob has. He will also need a Dental seeing as he is 7+ years old and has been on the streets his whole life and never been to the vet before. I have from Obetz Vet low and high estimates for Bob. The lowest cost is possibly $327.07 and the highest is $1,036.46. I hate to ask for help with the Dental too but Dental care for cats runs $300-500 on its own and since he will already be anesthetized it makes sense to pull any rotten teeth as well and give this kitty the best possible chance to get healthy.
Bob deserves this. He has been ignored and looked over by humans his entire life. No one ever cared enough to take Bob to a Vet. No one ever cared enough to get Bob neutered so he wouldn't be fighting his entire life and contract FIV. No one ever cared enough to give him a warm and safe home that all animals deserve. He has been fighting for his survival since the day he was born. I need help to show Bob that humans aren't all bad. I can give him the tlc and give him the warm safe home and work with him to trust again. Please help me fix Bob's massive smelly oozing infected wound and take care of a few teeth while he's knocked out. Please. He deserves this. He deserves a chance that he has never had before.
