Save Ashton

Yesterday (09/16/2018) Ashton didn't seem like herself.  She appeared lethargic. She had not drank water or ate food the last two days. She was shivering and appeared to have a great deal of discomfort and was dehydrated.

Ashton was taken to VCA for an emergency evaluation. They believed it was possibly a heart murmur, cancer or other health related illnesses. She had lost a lot of blood and the VET stated she had become anemic.

Ashton had to have a surgery today (09/17/18). She had her spleen removed but her health has already improved.  They diagnosed her condition as: "Splenic Torsion" which means he spleen rotates/twists on itself thus preventing blood drainage, causing subsequent enlargement of the spleen. It occurs more commonly in large and giant breed dogs

She is recovering and is expected to stay at the VET for the next couple of days....

However, the Veterinarian bills are astronomical. They have quoted the surgery at $8,000.... plus the initial emergency visit was $1,500.

Anyone who knows me, knows I am a pretty solitary guy. I keep to myself and spend most of my free time with Ashton. When I am not with her, I am working.

I don't like asking for help, and typically don't expect to receive help. However, Ashton means the world to me. I understand I will be in debt for the next year or so taking care of her VET bills and what not....

but if anyone is willing to help donate, I will humbly accept the help.

***FYI: by no means, do I expect to raise $7,000... that is an astonishing amount.... but any cent counts.***
