Why save "this fire truck"? It has served the citizens of Pulaski County for over "38" years. Arkansas firefighter's including my self have served on this truck with so many lives saved and fires extinguished. Now just because this fire truck has retired from responding to citizen 911 Emergencies. It now still serves the public by "Honoring The Fallen" and thier Gold Star families, Fire Service Education & Safety, and out living every "modern fire engine" by still fully capable of pumping over 1250 GPM @ 150 PSI. This fire engine represents an era of fire engines that was truly built with American Pride. Being "Yellow" makes this truck very unique and one of a kind, yet a perfect color in "Honoring our Troops" and all those who gave some and those who gave all! My goal is making this Fire Engine an "Arkansas Fallen Heroes Honor Truck" by joining our Arkansas Patriot Guard Precession of all in-line of duty deaths in Arkansas. Ever needed a fire truck at a Birthday Party, Nieghborhood block party, Church Function, Community Event or Function? This fire engine is a unforgettable personal experience that a local "in service" fire engine can't commit because it has to respond! This truck stays till every person has touched, sat, and experience the real life experience of being a firefighter and all questions about the fire service answered or demestrated by Military & City Fire Professionals, Forestry Service, and Volunteer Firefighing Services.

My name is Jason G. Fuller, a member of the Little Rock Fire Dept. Honor Guard, firefighter at Station #7 "Home of the War Wagon" and Markem Mayhem, also a former Arkansas Air National Guard 188th AW CES Federal Firefighter, and also a member of Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Dept. with all that being said, this 1983 Mack Fire Engine is my favorite tool in all my years of Fire Service. The history & stories it carries are endless among those who have served on this Fire Apparatus. But, saving this piece of historical has been a huge burden on my family both time away & money. Now I'm asking for help in finding this pumper a home "inside" out of weather & sun. Much needed maintenance up keep so it stays safe to operate for all Parades, Community Events, or Personal visit of a wish to become a firefighter or just personal experience of what it is like to be one for a day? The fuel ticket alone is quite a personal expense that I alone can't continue to bare. So all funds go towards this truck for rust prevention, general maintenance, fuel costs, and hopefully donated roof/storage for this piece of Arkansas history.

Hope this small gift helps. I spent 32 years on the LRFD retiring in 2006. Good luck. I appreciate all the LRFD Honor Guard does.
