Dear friends,
It's with a sad, frustrated and heavy heart that I write this update. In the last week Sarah had another MRI that showed the cancer has spread to her spine and is compromising vertebrae in her neck. They also found significant regrowth of the tumor in her head. With this news, Sarah decided to begin hospice care. She is home now with her family and her wonderful mother to help care for her and social services have begun working with the kids. Her husband Erik has been working his tail off to keep the kids lives as normal as possible and is awaiting his own foot surgery which has prevented him from returning to work.
We don't have a solid prognosis of time, but this is definitely a time that Sarah and her family should be able to focus on each other and their time left, and not worry about financial basics. I would really love to be able to support Erik through this time and into in the near future as there are a whole new host of expenses coming up for him.
All of you have been so generous with your time and funds and we thank you for every penny. You can not only help by sharing a bit more, but also sharing this message with as many people as possible. Facebook has many ways of restricting how many views these type of posts get, so it is going to be a group effort to spread the word.
Thank you <3 <3 <3
