Santiago: Lambda Literary Residency

Dear friends, colleagues, and supporters,
I have the pleasure of being part of the 2017 Lambda Literary Emerging LGBTQ Voices Retreat, the nation’s premier LGBTQ writing residency. This year's fiction workshop will be led by Garth Greenwell, one of my favorite writers, and will be held in Los Angeles, California in August.
I have been fortunate enough to receive an award from Lambda Literary for my tuition but need your help with the remaining costs. Your contributions will help cover boarding fees at Otis College of Art and Design, travel to and from Los Angeles, and develop new material and ideas through my participation in this invaluable experience. Workshopping new material with writers from all across the nation and in various stages of their careers will challenge my perspective and writing practice. This retreat, or bootcamp, as I'd like to think of it, will be an opportunity to enrich my lifetime education as a writer.
