Santa Cruz Pride was born from a political ralley whose message was LGBTQ people are proud of who they are and demand to be seen and heard. After speeches aand chanting came playing adn eating together.
Forty two first Sundays in June later, the rally has morphed into a parade and festival to celebrate finding and using our power. We parade our lives on a downtown street marching with conviction of our equality, with inspiration from the cause of justice. We march to the music of love spilling from laughing voices.
SCPride is community produced, community funded with sponsorships and donations. If your able to contribute to this year production, we so appreciate that, any amount helps. If your not, just come to the event, your smiling face is perfect.
